About Me

Atlanta, Georgia, United States
Everyone visiting this blog has probably heard something about hip-hop being dead. Some beleive that it is already a lost artform and culture. A-town native Jayell, and A-town resident Jerz Ali, just think the game needs a little change. The V.O.C.'s goal is a simple one and can be summed up in one common phrase; light up the darkness. Every song they craft is backed with genre bending concepts that shed light on this shadow of a world we live in today. Every song is completely void the cliche's that plauge this genre and that keep it from moving forward. The groups influences dont end with Hip-Hop. They range from Soul and R&B to Rock, Jazz, Funk, and Alternative genres; making The V.O.C. one of the first musical representations of the cultural melting pot that Atlanta has been in recent years. In times of creative drought and lack of leadership, The V.O.C. is a voice to be reckoned with.
